Five Good Reasons…

Why You Should Volunteer for Project: Quality Time

1. You will have the opportunity to see your students and meet their families in a different environment and make them feel welcome at the museum.

2. You will also have the opportunity to see and collaborate with other MCPS art teachers, plus, you can go shopping in the gift shop for teaching resources.

3. You can bring your friends and family and make it a one-day vacation. After you volunteer at P:QT, take some time from your busy schedule; get out and see some of the latest art exhibits in the area. Once you are done, you have the rest of the day to explore the arts in Washington, D.C.

4. You can earn *Professional Development “FLEX” time.

5. And because…. We REALLY Need YOU!

If you have not participated in Project: Quality Time in the past, now is the time. Please sign up to volunteer for a segment of the Saturday event. Your job will be to greet MCPS students and their families and direct them as they begin their self-guided adventure. To volunteer email Terry Lawrence (P:QT volunteer coordinator). Please include your home and cellular telephone numbers. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

*As an added incentive, I am proposing that you plan to use this opportunity to fulfill part of your MCPS contractual 16 hours of Individual Professional Development Time. This can be achieved by promoting this event at your school and volunteering. If you volunteer, you will receive documentation from the P:QT committee that verifies your hours. Note: Please confirm this with your staff development teacher.
