Baltimore City School Family Day at the BMA
How you can participate:
In November:
• Tell classroom teachers in your school.
• Speak at your school’s November PTA meeting.
• Announce the event during American Education Week.
• Include a message in your school’s newsletter.
• Talk to your principal and PTA about participating.
In December:
• Talk to your students about the event.
• Teach a lesson about a work of art at the BMA and encourage students to go see that work of art on Saturday, February 23.
• Create an incentive for students to participate, like a free drawing day for the class with the most students in attendance.
• Talk to your students about art museums and museum etiquette.
• Hang flyers in your school.
• Talk to parents and other teachers about the event.
In January:
• Remind students and families to come to the BMA on February 23 anytime between 11 am and 4 pm for a fun day of family led activities at the Baltimore Museum of art.
